David Beckham in Manila

David Beckham and his team, LA Galaxy, arrived in Manila as part of their football tour. They played against our local team, Azkals. I wanted to go and watch them play because this is a once-in-a-lifetime event but the tickets were so outrageous! I even wanted to apply for Ticketing Agent Jobs just so I can get a discount.

Anyway, I didn’t make it but I was content to watch the game on TV. Beckham gave a good show and even extended his play when he heard our very own Filipino boxing champion, Manny Pacquiao arrived to watch him play. He even took off his jersey and gave it to him after his play. I guess all of us are fans after all.

Held at one of the steel buildings in L.A., the Nokia Theater, has a full attendance of television stars from all networks but not one can steal the spotlight from Christina Hendricks whose perfect hourglass figure was poured in a stunning silver gown encrusted with crystals. She kept her accessories simple but matched it with her fiery red hair and red lipstick to complete her look.

Hendricks, who became famous for her role in the TV series Mad Men, couldn’t help but gush about her gown saying, “I thought it was so beautiful, it’s the only one I tried one.”

Having a fashion designer really has its perks and one of them is getting to attend fashion week even if you’re only two months old Baby Harper. Fashion week is a yearly event for the fashionista and the tickets to the said event are prime possessions, as valuable as morgan silver dollars. Wearing a black and white checkered shirt and shorts combo, Baby Harper Beckham was carried by her mother at New York City. She was looked bleary eyed and sleepy but didn’t make a fuss even though the photographers crowded her. She even took a look around at one point to see what the commotion was, and probably doesn’t have the slightest idea yet at this point that it’s her and her famous mom that’s the center of attention.]

Victoria is dressed as impeccable as usual in her calf length magenta dress from her own collection, favorite oversized glasses, and Christian Louboutin boots. Early this week she tweeted, “Mummy and baby Harper are very excited for fashion week!!! X VB”

Her collection will be unveiled this Saturday and gave this statement as to what we can expect from her collection,”‘the perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through the night.”

Justin Bieber’s boyish charms can be also attributed to his hairstyle. However, the teen singing sensation was reported to have had his wavy hair cut. TMZ reported that Bieber apparently wanted to change his hairstyle. Here’s a picture of him having his haircut by his regular hairdresser, Vanessa.

I just saw his picture today and I was definitely shocked and I’m not a diehard Bieber fan at that. I’m sure the teen girls will be shocked to see this. What do you think of his new look?

Teri Hatcher Released Photos Fresh From Shower to Prove She Has No Botox

Teri Hatcher must have been fed up of the reports that she constantly had Botox and surgery done on her face that’s why in a very candid moment she took pictures of herself fresh from the shower.

She even crunched her forehead and made faces to prove it.

Here’s what she wrote at her Twitter account:

Thought about all those damn critics of my face. Love it or hate it, my face that is, no surgery, no implants, no matter what “they” say. Decided I’d shoot myself to reveal some truths about “beauty” and hope it makes you all easier on yourself.

She confessed though that she had toyed with botox in the past.

Did I every toy with fillers or Botox over the years? Yes. (But) tell me does this look Botoxed to you? Yes I am alone in my bathroom naked in a towel on behalf of women everywhere trying to make a point. Women YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

The Willie Revillame Saga

So the saga of Willie Revillame continues. I think try as he might he always find himself getting in trouble. Even with his show being a multi-million peso success he still managed to get himself “fired.” Sometimes I pity him because he always turns out to be the bad guy but I admit all that he reaps is his own doing. Now he has thrown away his P25 million contract and worst he is still tied to ABS CBN until September of next year. He has been made a frozen talent and ABS CBN will never let him go. By the time his contract ends people may have forgotten him and he may have lost his magic with the people.

So what will be the ending of the Willie Revillame? Will he manage to get out of his contract? I hope he got himself really good lawyers because the network will do everything they can to keep him. But who knows maybe this trial would lead him to put up his own TV network that will rival his former network? Only time will tell so stay tuned.

Angelina Jolie in Tokyo for Salt Premiere

Angelina Jolie was in Tokyo with her brood for the Salt premiere. I saw her uber stylish black gown with slits high up in her tight. Black really is her favorite color and I don’t blame her because it suits her so well. Angelina told an anecdote to the press how she played a joke on her eldest child, Maddox. In her latest movie, Salt, she had to be in different costumes for her role as a spy. One time, she approached her little boy disguised as a male naval officer. Maddox, not knowing that it’s her mother, shook hands timidly with the naval officer. According to Jolie, Maddox was freaked out when she told her it’s his mommy and peeled off the costume right in front of him. I like the anecdote because it shows that Jolie can be playful with her children.

Jolie, however, said that she will not allow her brood to watch her latest film. She said it would be hard for them to see someone trying to kill their mommy even though it’s just a movie.

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in prison yesterday. The prosecution asked for 30 days only but the judge went beyond that and gave her a 90-day jail term instead. Others may think that the judge was harsh in giving the sentence but after the pictures of her fingers emerged today I think now that Lindsay really deserves the punishment. Lindsay was not holding Acid cigars in front of a judge but there on one of her nails was written the F word which was apparently flashed to the judge a couple of times just before the sentence was handed down.

Lindsay told the court she was busy with her engagements that’s why she had violated her parole. Now, Lindsay would have enough time to think about her actions and to put her life in order. Thanks to the judge who was kind enough to discipline her.
