Guitar for my Hubby

My husband can’t decide what to buy. He’s choosing between a new guitar or a new amp. He already has three guitar but he wants more. He has only one amp so he wants to buy another one. He particularly has his eye on the peavey 6505 combo.
I know if he has his choice he would buy both. But he’s a responsible Dad and he’s thinking about the welfare of his kids that’s why he’s careful with his money. I hope I can give him this as a gift to him one of this days. I know he really likes to have his music gadgets so it would be worth it.
I’m a guitar fanatic myself. Got influenced by my dad who’s good with instruments. I inherited all his guitars and bought one myself
