We love watching Dora the Explorer in our house, which we watch via Direct TV deals. My daughter loves the characters Dora, Boots, and Swiper. Her favorite has always been Swiper the Fox. She loves yelling “Swiper, no swiping”. My favorite character is Boots the monkey. He wears little red boots and I find him totally adorable.
Dora teaches kids Spanish and simple problem solving skills. Her fun, interactive program keeps preschoolers mesmerized. Even when they see the same episode repeatedly, they still are eager to play along. My daughter will shout out the answers to any question that Dora asks. She honestly thinks Dora can hear her yelling the answers.
The songs are fun to sing. I like the song that the Map sings. My daughter likes the Backpack song. These songs are familiar because they are repeated in every episode. My daughter loves to sing along with Dora.
My daughter has learned many Spanish words from watching Dora. She can count, knows her colors and many animal names because she has learned them from this wonderfully entertaining show.
I even enjoy watching Dora with her. Dora is always helping her friends with whatever problem they have. This is definitely a behavior I want to teach my child and she is learning a valuable lesson by watching this television show.
