Now it’s confirmed. Charice will have a guest role in Glee next season. Although this is the latest Celebrity News it has not at all surprised me.
As early as last month it was leaked by her former Filipino handler, Grace Mendoza, that she was indeed going to be on the next season of Glee. Charice and her mother were quick to deny the rumors. She even tweeted, “I just want to let you all know that it’s not true that I’m going to be on Glee… How I wish! Haha. LOL. Rumors!!! I am not going to be on Glee..Haha…That’s really funny. I didn’t know about the Glee (role). Hahaha, until I saw Perez’s blog. This is really confusing.”
Following the denials her handler was then fired. A newspaper article then surfaced upon the reasons why Charice and her camp denied the rumors. It seems that her US managers got hold of the scoop and was displeased that the news came out. This prompted Charice and her mother to fire her handler.
Now a month later it turned out that the handler’s scoop is entirely true. According to the reports, Charice will play the role of a foreign exchange and would give Rachel a run for her money.
So what’s Charice’s explanation about the recent turn of events? “It’s official. I’m on Glee (next season) but story behind it. When the rumor came out, it wasn’t true. But then after that, I tried to audition. And I made it!!! Let’s party!!!!” So I wonder if they hired her handler back.
Anyway, I’m so happy Charice will be on Glee. I’m sure the story would be more interesting and she would give another awesome performance there. Charice started her singing career in the Philippines after she won second place in a singing contest but was catapulted to international stardom after Oprah discovered her on her show.
